Tips and Keyboard
Shortcuts to enhance your viewing
Tip 1:-
An easier
way to go up and down a page is to click anywhere on the page, then use the up and down arrows on the keyboard.
Tip 2:-
Remember that most web
sites take you to other sites by replacing the one you are viewing.
However, sometimes you encounter one that opens a new window for
you.... An
indication that you have more than one window opened on your screen, is to
look at the bottom line of your display. (Task Bar). A lot of
Browsers are configured to prevent opening new windows (pop up
blockers), but one can bypass this by adjustment to the Options...sometimes
holding down the Ctrl key as you click on the link also works. Furthermore, looking at the top left of your screen the Back arrow is
also a helpful indication of whether you can go back to a previous site....If
you can, it will be activated, which means it will display a faint glow.
Clicking Melbourne-Vic.com header from any page returns you to the Home page.
Special Tip:- If you are
using Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, you can hit Ctrl+ or Ctrl-,
and it will keep expanding or contracting the page you are viewing
Tip 3 :-You can close
a window, either the usual way by clicking top right hand corner
(x)
or on the keyboard by pressing Alt + F4. or Ctrl+W
Tip 4 :- In the
Microsoft browser, F11 toggles to a full screen
Tip 5 :- Don't forget
that pressing HOME on your keyboard takes you to top of the
page....and pressing END to the bottom of the page.
